My career path was the perfect storm that led me to starting this ad agency. I've always been a "creative type". I was a classically trained percussionist who initially majored in Music. 一路走来, I decided that the life of a professional musician didn’t lend itself to stability and while I adored my Band Directors growing up, teaching wasn't something I was interested in. So I wondered what could I do that would allow me to still be “creative” but would be more financially viable. It was then that I had an epiphany; 广告!

I graduated from Texas A&M-Commerce in 1997 with a degree in Journalism with an emphasis on 广告. While pursuing my degree I was taught by some great Ad Men from The Richards Group and DDB Needham. I landed my first job here in Tyler Texas with KLTV as their Director of Marketing Research. That position ultimately proved invaluable to me as it taught me the ins and outs of the local television business as well as the advantages and disadvantages of a wide range of competive media from analyzing reseach and data.

Ultimately I became the 网络site Operations Manager where I managed the day to day website for the station. I then followed that up by becoming the Internet Sales Director at KLTV. The ISD position was a very new opportunity at the time. I think I was the second one in the market.   Most media companies hadn’t really tried to monetize their websites then. Much of what I learned some 25+ years ago still is relevant today. Metrics don’t change much, however the delivery systems certainly will.

I went on to take a position with Suddenlink Media selling cable advertising. My experience selling online advertising was niche-based. 网络 and cable sales weren’t all together too different in their approach. When CBS19 came to the market I landed an Account Executive role with Phil Hurley’s new endeavor. I eventually was elevated to the National Sales Manager postion at CBS19. This allowed me to work with the agencies that handled large accounts like the likes of Ford and Dodge. I learned much by seeing how they placed their ad dollar. This all lead to the creation of 切斯利·布莱恩 Marketing, LLC.

I’m fortunate to draw on a rich and diverse history in media. I have one goal and that is to create memorable advertising campaigns for my clients. Please contact me if you think we might be a good fit for each other.
